Katie Coon is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents and adults. She has a special interest in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, and women’s mental health.
Katie takes a collaborative, trauma-informed approach and believes in whole-person care. She recognizes that mental health is deeply connected to the body, environment, and life experiences. Her goal is to understand the full picture of each patient’s wellbeing and develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, lifestyle support, and coordination with therapy.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler and brings prior clinical and therapeutic experience as a registered nurse in mental health settings, which continues to inform her patient-centered approach.
Patients working with Katie can expect a thoughtful, supportive environment where they feel heard and respected. Her goal is to help individuals better understand their mental health and feel empowered in their treatment.
